Managing Director
David has developed a multi-million pound business out of what was a former cow shed, to now selling play areas throughout the world. He is highly specialised in the play industry and regularly consults on all size projects, in addition to his design lead within the company. Historically David is an experienced play installation and services designer with a background in farming and construction in the UK. Well known within the UK and international play industry David has been a key advisor and provider to attractions both in the UK and worldwide, particularly in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and South America regions.
Director
Degree educated and having spent over ten years in corporate health and well-being, delivering fitness and lifestyle programmes for Morgan Stanley, Daily Telegraph, Ford Motor Company , Royal Mail and Rank Xerox, Darren moved to Cornwall for a more relaxed and family orientated lifestyle. A further ten years was spent operating indoor and outdoor leisure and retail operations before Darren joined David Taylor Design as Business Development Director. Darren now overseas the management and development of the play business both here in the UK and Overseas. (As you can see in the photo, Darren has a bit of sweet tooth and when not devouring donuts, biscuits and Haribo’s, he can be found playing on a 1959 vintage Fordson tractor, and is a member of the “Fordson Majorette” Tractor Display Team!)
Sales and Marketing Assistant
Sam is our Sales and Marketing Assistant, after studying IT and working for a university both at a service desk and later onsite in London, he decided he needed a change and moved back home to Cornwall. His day to day is usually answering emails, the phone or working on Auto cad to assist all members of the team in their day to day business. Outside of work, Sam has a couple side projects such as online broadcasting, voice acting and when he can, he goes snowboarding! He is also our offices Mandarin speaker and after 4 years of learning it has come in handy from time to time.
Project Coordinator
Leanne the newest member to join our team, has been a devoted stay at home mum of 2, for the past 10 years. Born in Cornwall, Leanne still loves nothing better than exploring and enjoying all the things Cornwall has to offer, with her family and friends. Here at David Taylor Designs, Leanne will be our Project Manager, answering emails and the phone, assisting customers and other team members in providing our great play equipment!
Technical Support Engineer
Dave is our Technical Support Engineer. Having an Engineering Degree and vast experience using various CAD systems, he provides technical support to the owner, David Taylor. Dave has supported David Taylor for 3 years in developing new play areas and themes. David uses Solidworks to create 3D models for presentation purposes, whilst using the same models to drive the manufacturing process. Dave, away from the CAD screen tries to play tennis in local tournaments...when he's not injured. He also enjoys his cars and still is a bit of a petrol head and likes to travel when time allows...always with a drink in his hand....
